Bereavement Support Guide

Anna is a Georgia native, born and raised in Conyers, before attending Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas where she received her B. A. in psychology and met her husband Michael. Anna and Michael were married in 2021, and lost their first baby through miscarriage in 2022- a life-altering tragedy that would ultimately propel Anna to pursue her masters in Human Services Psychology from Divine Mercy University (DMU) in 2023. During her time at DMU, Anna's capstone project focused on understanding perinatal loss and how to better support those who suffer the loss of a child in pregnancy or early infancy. Along with her masters Anna has also received specialized training in reproductive grief and perinatal death through The Institute for Reproductive Grief Care and Resolve Through Sharing (respectively). She splits her work time between RHM and Red Bird Ministries, a Catholic non-profit that supports families impacted by child loss, where she serves as the Director of Leader Formation.
When Anna isn't engrossed in the world of bereavement advocacy, she is honing her baking skills, exploring an antique shop with her husband, or playing with their Maine Coon cat, Truffles.
