Anna Markush
Ultrasound Tech
Anna Markush started her journey to sonography as a volunteer at a crisis pregnancy center. That's where she saw an ultrasound for the first time. She was immediately overwhelmed by the way it showcased, without a doubt, the humanity of the child in the womb. She knew then that she was called to share that sense of wonder. So she applied, was accepted, and graduated from Wallace State with an AAS and as a registered sonographer. Since then she has come to appreciate the GYN side of sonography as much as the OB. If asked where she's from, she will never give a straight answer, saying she was born in Arkansas while her family was living in Missouri, moved to Vermont when she was two years old, and spent every winter since she was six in Lower AL. But when she came to Northern AL, she knew where she was going to stay. And now she is excited to be a part of the RHM team and serve the community. Anna is a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Birmingham and is looking forward to becoming more involved with all the time she doesn't have to spend studying. She loves cooking, gardening, singing, and procrastinating. She dislikes when her cooking experiments fail, when her plants die, when her throat is sore, and the effects of procrastinating.
